I’m Andy Cairns.

Maybe I should put a photo here.

About me

In the real world, I’m an independent technology consultant. This means that organisations pay me to design and implement technology-based solutions to the problems that are stopping them from being as good as they can be. Over the last 20 years, I’ve worked with some of the world’s most recognisable organisations, across many industries.

While my livelihood depends on my work as a corporate stooge, my interests lie squarely in the current zeitgeist of consumer technology, start-up culture and our species’ appetite for developing ways to improve everything we do.

About this weblog

Some things excite or annoy me so much that I feel the need to put fingertips to keyboard just to clear enough space in my head to move on with my life. What you see before you is the repository of this output.

I have no fixed goal, agenda or subject matter for the words I post here. It’s an outlet.

Feel completely free to get in contact with me if there’s something you need to get off your chest. The best methods are Twitter and Email. I’m the first to admit that I’m terrible at timely responses, so please don’t be offended if you don’t hear back.
